From 1994 through 2005, Carl Cherko employed as a Staff Engineer provided Pro/ENGINEER MCAD and design efforts, conceptual mechanical design, analysis and testing efforts for this manufacturer of silicon wafers for the semiconductor and solar industries. Several major projects were expedited at this location including the design of both an initial concept and a final manufactured version of a large scale lift assembly for a liquid feed melter vessel for use on a silicon crystal growing furnace. This major project was completed in less than six weeks including all MCAD efforts. Another major project expedited involved the design and manufacture of all hardware for calibrating and mounting a dual camera monitoring system on a silicon crystal growing furnace for controlling silicon melt level and crystal diameter during the silicon crystal growing process.........(more).........

Efforts included the design, 3D modeling and generation of rapid prototype parts and assemblies for a hand-held WellPro instrument for taking multiple biological samples.
